Collective Noun (समूहवाचक संज्ञा)
जिस Noun से व्यक्तियों एवं वस्तुओं के समूह का बोध होता है,उसे Collective Noun (समूहवाचक संज्ञा) कहते हैं।

‘group of girls’ से लड़कियों के समूह का (दल का) बोध होता है।
‘packets of blades’ से ब्लेड के पैकेट का बोध होता है जिसमें एक-से-अधिक ब्लेड हैं।
‘team players’ से खिलाड़ियों के समूह का बोध होता है जिसमें एक-से-अधिक खिलाड़ी हैं।
‘herd cows’ से गायों के झुण्ड का बोध होता है जिसमें एक-से-अधिक गायें हैं।
